What Causes Vomiting, Loose Stools, Fever And High WBC?

my grandson has been intermittently sick with loose stools, low grade fever and a high wbc. At first they thought he might have an infection in his intestines or a type of food poision. Several treatments later they have sent him to a specialist. He acts fine, eats well but his wbc yesterday was 31000.

Hello,

In my opinion, if this is elevated WBC (Leukocytosis) and not responding to treatment (Antibiotic), then it may demands the higher medical attention for some malignant condition.

I could say that if this was the condition, then you must have been worn by your doctor because this is the condition that cannot be missed or neglected.

Still, I advise you to discuss this with his doctor, if a patient is doing well then it is nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
