What Causes Vomiting Every Time After Drinking Water Post Taking Acetaminophen?

I am 74 year old female. Have been vomiting every time I try to sip broth or water. Cannot take some of my medications due to this. No diarrhea. Started about 2am this morning after taking Acetaminophen-cod #4 prescribed by my dentist after surgery on tooth. Took three pills altogether, last at 2am.

I appreciate your concern for the repeated vomiting after taking Acetaminophen-Codeine#4 medication.

After having gone through the problems described in your query, I am of the opinion that the symptoms of repeated vomiting following intake of three pills of Acetaminophen-Codeine#4 are highly suggestive of drug overdosage.

I, therefore advise you to kindly visit the ER of your nearest hospital for further evaluation and treatment which may include the following:
Hospital treatments include:

1. Activated charcoal
2. IV fluids
3. Stomach aspiration to remove the unabsorbed pills
4.You may also be given two medicines to reverse the toxic effects of the drugs Naloxone (to overcome the toxicity of Codeine) and N-acetyl cysteine (to overcome the toxicity caused by Acetaminophen).

Hope the suggestion given above could be useful in getting the treatment for the drug overdosage.
