What Causes Vomiting And Sudden Death?

A close friend of the family just died. He was 81 and supposedly in good health, slender build etc. I don't believe I ever saw him sick. Apparently the night before he died he had been vomiting and when he was found he had been in the bathroom and had vomitted more. The family declined an autopsy. I realize this is not enough information but any opinion on what was most likely the cause of death?

Nausea and vomiting can be associated with a heart attack. They are associated with many other problems as well, but given the fact that it was a sudden death, something related to the heart is the most likely cause. A large stroke could also cause sudden death. He might have had a cerebral hemorrhage that was leaking slowly and caused the vomiting, and then finally burst and caused the death. So most likely causes of death are related to heart or brain attack. Hope this answers your query.
