What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhoea?
My 26 year old son has a very sick stomach today. Vomiting and watery dark diareah. His lower back is in a lot of pain. His brother was very sick like this last week (without back pain). My son is clammy and seems to have a fever. He was on antibiotics for a bad cut but stopped them yesterday afternoon. I hope this is not serious and that I am not making a mistake by not taking him to the hospital.

See, diarrhea has many causes. In fact, taking antibiotics also may lead to diarrhea. There is also associated vomiting. I would suggest you the following-
Tab ofloxacin-ornidazole twice daily for 5 days.
Tab ondansetran 1 tab SOS when vomiting occurs.
ORS solution to be taken in sips as required.
Take note of fever thrice daily. Give tab paracetamol 500 SOS for fever.
Give me a feedback after 5 days.
