What Causes Vomiting After Brushing The Teeth?

Hi my husband wakes up every morning gagging on mucous and sometimes throws up. It use to happen only when he was brushing his teeth, but recently it has been as soon as you gets up from bed. He says he feels like a tremendous amount of mucous is stuck in his throat and he kind of burbs and gags while spitting up. What could this be? Acid Reflux

Hi

Thank you for your query

To avoid vomiting after brushing,
Avoid brush touching the throat or soft palate
Use lukewarm water during morning.
Breath well after wake up, better do it as meditation.
Change the toothpaste if necessary
Change the toothbrush if it gets frayed
Eating gooseberries are also helpful
Do not brush hard to injure your mouth and throat junctions.
Poor oral hygiene also is a cause. Maintain proper oral hygiene, use mouthwash, floss etc.
It can also be due to GERD, Acid reflux disease.
Consult a Dentist as well as a Gastro enterologist and get the treatment if it is severe.
