What Causes Vomiting After A Spine Fracture?

I experienced a compression fracture of my L1 on March 23rd. Since then I have had multiple episodes of vomiting. I take many medications due to a heart attack in 2011 along with my meds for the pain due to the accident. It makes no difference if I eat or not and many nights I am up 5-6 times vomiting. There may have been 5 days since the accident that I ve kept a meal down, if that. I even take a medication to take before meals that doesn t help. My medications clonazepam, trintellix, Celebrex (accident), Plavix, isosorbide monotrate, Coreg, atorvastatin, lisinopril, tramadol (accident), OxyCod/apap (accident), baclofen (accident), and famotidine (vomiting). My allergies are to pcn and codeine. Can you give me any idea what might be going on.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may be due to severe pain following the fracture. Other possibility is associated brain injury. If you experience head ache or vomiting is persistent you can consult a neurologist and plan for a CT head.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
