I brought new pillows. My bf slept on them and when he woke up the pillow smelled like vomit and cologne mixed.. I washed the pillows in bleach and ammonia and dried them.. The Smell went away.. The next day he came and took a nap.. The pillows he slept on had the odor again and so did the top of the blanket he had over his face..I think its his drool that has this terrible odor..What s causing this? And how do I prevent it.. I m tired of washing all the bedding when he spends the night
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read the description and understand your concern. What problem you are facing with bad odour could be due to drooling of saliva during sleep. Your partner must be having either fungal infection of the mouth called 'oral candidiasis' or dental caries with anaerobic infection. Kindly ask him to rinse his mouth twice daily with mothwash containing Chlorhexidine after brushing his teeth using medicated toothpaste. Observe for a week to ten days weather such a thing subsides. In case it doesn't, he must be checked and treated accordingly by consulting Dentist. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
