What Causes Vision Loss In The Left Eye?

I went to the eye doctor because I awoke nearly blind in my left eye. I was diagnosed with a blood drop in my eye. I question this. There is no visible blood in my eye. It is internal. I have large dark black spots with numerous lines and speckles. I can not distinguish objects clearly?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per your description it seems like you may be having a condition known as vitreous hemorrhage. It is nothing but a bleeding inside one of the cavities of eye ball. You can consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
