What Causes Visible Pulsations Around The Clavicle?

Hello,
I have a visible pulsing right about my clavicle a little to the right as you look at me head on. I was diagnosed with
hypothyroid a few months ago. My Doctor said she thought I might have a blocked artery and had me have an ultra
sound. She said it showed nothing. Is it my thyroid that is pulsating like that then and is that normal?

My Grandmother on my Fathers side did of a brain aneurysm and I am a little worried.

Thank You in advance,
Deborah

Hi Deborah. It could be pulsations of the Sunclavian artery which is normally present in thay area or its possible that you have raised venous pressure or raised JVP as we call it. Have your Physician have a look at it and he will tell you whether it is normal or not. Its difficult to say without examining you. Do let me know if there are any further queries. Would be happy to help. Take care.
