i have been having vertigo when standing, setting and lying. When I bend over while standing causes the worst symptom and I have proceeded in falling straight over to the floor. I have not passed out but will have an extended period of. Vertigo and blurred tunnel vision. This vision issue is now about 50 per cent of the time and makes it difficult for me to read. This is also accompanied by severe fatigue and SOB with any exertion to point Iam in bed as much as 14hour per day which are accompanied by strong general area headaches. I have noticed concentration, short term memory issues and at time mild hand tremors. MY pop has had cardiac work up which was negative as was blood work, chest x ray and uS of the carotid. chest work up was unremarkable and I went to cardiac rehab without improvement. these six have been going on for about 6 weeks. I am a 66 yo male, non smoker/drinker, type 2diabetic controlled with oral med s, Hx of colon CA 12 yrs ago with neg fu s. I have had no head injuries. thank you. Jack W

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have vertigo and blurred vision. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like systemic conditions, ear problem like meniere's disease , cardiovascular disease and other medical conditions , astigmatism or presbyopia . Variation in the sugar level can also cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order complete blood test , eye test and heart related test . Also doctor may order examination of ear with otoscope along with hearing test and rotatory chair test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist or ophthalmologist for problem to be related with ear or eye respectively . For now avoid bending forward and drink green tea with ginger thrice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
