What Causes Varicose Veins And Swelling In The Leg In Which Vein Was Removed For Bypass?

I suffer from varaicous veins and have a painful red swelling in my left calf, I also suffer from heart problems had bypass surgery 9 years ago. had a test this morning where a nurse put electrodes to my ankle s and i had to tap my feet painful leg ok the good leg wasent but that is where the veine was removed for the bypass. Its so painful and shewing no signe of going What could this be

Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
*Rare cases suffer lymphoedema following Saphenous vein removal .
*For proper evaluation one has to get Doppler Ultrasound of the Venous
system perfectly.
*Till then try to keep legs elevated over 3-4 pillows when resting
*Use compression stocking when ambulatory
*Take analgesics like Acetaminophen for pain relief.
