What Causes Vaginal Spotting Between Periods?

Hi I was supposed to get my period a few days go but I ve been spotting since Monday. I had spotting for 4 days and then on Friday it s off and on really bad bleeding. Is this normal? My last period was 2 days late and this one is now 3 days with spotting every day

I really appreciate your concern, spotting is the sign of dysfunctional uterine bleeding the causes of this, pregnancy, hormone imbalance, uterine pathology, or nonspecific, ideally this need to be watch for some time because in most the cases this comes around on its own, if this does not then case need to be investigated, hope this information helps, take care.
