What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Pain?

Hello,I have been treated for PID infection although negative tests. I have had blood spotting and pain,i think i have residual infection. if you still have blood spotting and pain do you think this indicates the infection has not gone? i have been told you can be left with chronic pain, but I still have spotting? thanks,Kirsty.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Infection is not the only cause of spotting and pain. Spotting is commonly seen with intake of emergency contraceptives like ipill, or progesterone only pills. If pain occurs during menstruation then it may have several other causes, PID is unlikely in this scenario. It may occur due to pelvic congestion that may be caused by Excess use of NSAIDS like MEFTAL SPASM.
More ever if you get pain during mentruation then it is PRE MENSTRUAL SYNDROME.
I will suggest you to take PRIMROSE OIL CAPSULES at least 10 days before expected day of start of menses once daily in evening for 10 days, If you still dont get relieved from pain, kindly Undergo USG.
