What Causes Vaginal Pink Discharge?

HI I have had the Mirena for just over two years now. Last month or so I have had really sharp twinge like pains. I have only had 3 periods since having my mirena. My last being two months ago. I went to the family planning clinic and to my gp About my twinges as they were quite bad and they did HVS and other swabs to check for infection. They also examined and said my Mirena looks to be in place. No bloods, urines or ultrasounds where taken. I got my results back yesterday saying they were negative for infections. I have had no appetite for a few days now. I m tired all the time. And Lasy couple of days I have had thick pink coloured discharge something I have never had before. It s smooth no clumps and it s quite thick. Is this normal?? Any advice??

Irregular spotting or blood stained discharge can occur while one is on Mirena. If the local examination and vaginal smear is negative , then there is nothing to worry.

Irregular spotting can occur due to Mirena and due to its hormonal disturbance. If the local examination and vaginal smear is negative, then there is nothing to worry.
