What Causes Vaginal Itching?

My vagina has been extremely itchy for the past 3 moths , I went to see a dr and he treated me for an sti but I don't know which one , after that treatment it got worse , what could be the solution it's just itchy with a white discharge like cottage cheese sometimes my abdomen gets sore

I understand your concern.

Itchy vagina with thick white discharge is due to vaginal candidiasis.
You may have got new infection due to partner,or use of antibiotics or persistent previous infection.

Vaginal clotrimazole tab suppository for 3-5 days advised to start with.Maintain genital hygiene with soap and water routinely and after having sex.Wear clean loose cotton underwear.Oral probiotics advised .Simultaneous treatment of partner recommended.Refrain from sex while on treatment .
If symptoms persist ,vaginal swab culture,urinanalysis and oral antifungals like fluconazole/ketoconazole will be required under consultation of gynaecologist.
