What Causes Vaginal Itching While On Mirena IUD?

Hi- I had the Mirena for 9 months and it appears that it caused a lot of vaginal itching and discomfort. I had it removed about two weeks ago. It seems to have helped, but because the itching was so intense I broke the skin in the vagina. Some of the skin has healed but I can t get the top area. The itching is awful especially at night. I ve tried anti-itch creams, ice packs, baking soda and Epsom salt baths, but I just can t stop itching so it can heal. Any other suggestions?

I really appreciate your concern, the most possible cause of itching would be fungal infection,, if I would be doctor of this case then I would treat this case with Miconazole cream apply this three times in day take care for good hygiene hope this information helps.
