Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes this question is for my fiancé because I m concerned for her. She s having really bad itching, burning and white milking sicharge during sex(more of a cottage cheese texture. I ve bout her the monostat cycle from the pharmacy a few months ago. This condition returned????
This is probably a vaginitis caused by Candida. Local antifungal treatment (with antifungal vaginal suppositories) is usually sufficient to treat this disorder.
If such treatments have failed in the past then treatment by mouth might be required.
If she'd like to confirm this diagnosis then she can visit a gynaecologist for clinical examination and perhaps a culture of vaginal fluid.
She'd better avoid sexual intercourse until she receives appropriate treatment. Sexual contacts may be painful until the fungus is gone.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
