Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vaginal Itching And Yellowish Discharge ?
I have had trouble with vaginal itching the last week or so. I do not see any typical signs of a yeast infection. But I have noticed this strange white/yellow crumb-like discharge on my labia when I wake up in the morning. Could this be an infection of some sort? Or is it just dry skin/my body responding to some sort of irritant?
Hello young lady i appreciate your concern this could be due to a yeast infection most likely itching followed by white creamy discharge is suggestive of candida infection or bacterial vaginosis
in my opinion you should consult a gynaecologist for clinical examination and a battery of tests like blood sugar CBC urine culture and sensitivity test and KOH fixation test for confirmation of yeast infection
you may require a course of antibiotics either oral tablet or vaginal pessaries maintain good hygiene have plenty of fluids
Hope this helps you Best wishes
