What Causes Vaginal Itching After Taking Amoxicillin?
I was on 875mg of amoxicillin and have developed a severe itch in my vaginal area. I haven t had sexual entercorse in over three years. I am 67 years old and have had a complete hysterectomy several years ago. Can I treat this myself or should I visit my doctor?

Hello,
Taking amoxicillin makes a woman more likely to have a vaginal yeast infection. You should always use vitamin c while on amoxicillin to prevent it.
Now you can use clotrimazole cream or Monistat cream to apply in the vaginal area to fight this infection.
