General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think it can be a viral infection such as herpesvirus 2 or genitalis. I don't think this is related to the period.

It keeps reoccurring because of your poor immunity. Take acyclovir as prescribed by your doctor for 7 days. Also use acyclovir ointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
