What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While On A Birth Control Implant?

Hello. I m 18 and I ve been on the implant birth control for almost 3 years. December will make it 3 and I ll have to replace it. About 2 weeks ago I started bleeding. It was brownish red and it stopped after 2 days. Then maybe 3 days later I started bleeding again but this time it was fully red and it hasn t stopped. I haven t bleed once since having the implant placed except for that first month. I m worried because it never happened not even once.

Hi I think it can be due to the expiry of implant. It has stopped its action and thus it results in withdrawal bleeding. So, don't worry about it. If bleeding is heavy, you can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Hope it helps.
