What Causes Vaginal Bleeding One Week After Taking Postinor 2?
Hi Doctor,I had sex (we used a condom) but he ejaculated inside me so to be sure, I took postinor 2 within a day after... It s been a week and now I m bleeding. It s not my period since I m not due till May 4th and the bleeding is a lot similar to what I experience at the beginning of my period... It s the second day of discharge... Should I be worried that this is implantation bleeding? How soon should I take a test?

Postinor 2 is a post coital emergency contraceptive pill. It contains Progestational preparation as an active ingredient. Since you have taken it within 72 hours of the suspected unprotected sex, you are well protected from the pregnancy due to this intercourse. Post coital emergency pills have following after effects:
1. Few days after the consumption of the pills, some amount of bleeding does occur for a couple of days. It stops by itself and no medical attention is required for the bleeding. You are having this type of bleeding, Please do not worry about it.
2. The period following these pills is usually delayed by few days to a week or so. I hope this will release your stress of the bleeding.
