What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Back Pain During The Post Menopausal Period?

Ok I was diagnosed post menopausal 9 mos ago. Had vaginal bleeding unexpectedly this past week. Have back pain and nausea. Pregnancy test negative, UTI POSITIVE. , I have an appointment for an ultrasound to check things out. Any ideas what might be going on?

I understand your concern.
Vaginal bleeding along with back pain could happen once in a while during the post-menopausal period. This is generally due to hormonal imbalance.
However, the other reasons which could cause it like presence of fibroids or cervicitis should be ruled out.
Things would be lot clear after an ultrasound examination.
Until then, don't have to worry much.
Following scan, it can be managed appropriately.
