What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Contraceptive Pill?
Hi,
I just wanted to know what would be he reason for bleeding when I took my last contraceptive pill this morning and my period normally starts within 2 days however I have some spotting already early evening. I last saw the gynae 2 months ago and she found I had several nabothian cysts in my cervix and a cyst in my ovary. I was put on a course of antibiotics and also started taking Femilon contraceptive. I have had no complaints since then and my periods have been regular. Could the bleeding be caused due to the cysts? I had a pap smear done 2 months ago and was asked to repeat this in 6 weeks which I have avoided. Do I need to repeat the pap smear?

Hello,
Nabothian cysts indicate chronic or past pelvic infection. They are a mucus-filled cyst on the surface of the cervix. Bleeding is not related to cyst. Spotting and bleeding can start any day after last pill of contraceptive pill, nothing to worry. Not mentioned about PAP smear report here, Better to get repeat PAP smear test.
