What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking I-pill?

HiI had an unsafe sex with my husnand on 24th oct but on the next day i took an ipill. On 3rd nov i started bleeding which lasted for 3 days. In october my periods occurred on 14th till 17th. After that i didnt have any unprotected sex.But till now i have not got my periods. Also i took a pregnancy test on 11th dec with prega news and it came as negative. So in this case what should i do. Please help me am too worried as we dont want baby right now.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
The I pill you had taken is a hormonal preparation in high dose. It caused withdrawal bleeding after 3 days--- & also caused an imbalance in your menstrual cycle . this is the cause of skipping your next period.
You did not have unprotected sex in following month & you had -ve urine pregnancy test .
* In such condition I would advise for a blood HCG testing to confirm absence of pregnancy .( with Blood HCG -ve )
Once confirmed the absence of pregnancy you should take-
- Tablet Registrone 1 pill thrice a day for 3 days & wait for withdrawal bleeding within 8 days.Menstrual cycle mostly starts regularly after this.
- consultation of a gynecologist for dosage of Regestrone / for investigations to exclude other causes of absent menses is always advisable.
