What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

Hi, i recently had sex with a guy and I bled a lot afterwards. I went to see the doctor and she said that i have a small ectropion. She took swabs and everything came back clear. I havent had sex since and I am scared as I am now in a new relationship. I have a colposcopy appointment in a month. I havent had any spotting and normal period since. I am so scared to have sex as I feel like my cervix is sensitive. Is there anything I can do to know if I will bleed if I do have sex again?

Hello,

Vaginal bleeding is not related to ectropion.

An extensive gynecological examination with needful investigations would find the cause of the bleeding after sex (menppause/hormonal imbalance/vaginal polyp/ovarian or thyroid problem etcetera).

Get it done with guidance of a gynecologist and start specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
