What Causes Urinary Urgency?

Hi, I have had an uncontrollable feeling of needing to Urinate all the time. I will go to the bathroom come and sit down and feel like I need to get right back up and go use the restroom again. I get my A1c checked yearly and never came back with any abnormal or close to abnormal numbers in the past, STD screening negative, Urinalysis negative for UTI, and pregnancy tests negative. What could be the cause?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
Your concern is understandable.
As an Urologist, it would have been good to know your age and if you're on any medication.
To rule out UTI, one must get urine culture test done.
An ultrasound scan of the abdomen is also needed to get a good idea of the probable cause of your symptoms.
Once the reports are known, see your doctor, who may advise a cystoscopy test, to confirm the findings, before starting treatment.
Wish you well.
