What Causes Urinary Tract Infection?

I m 29, I think about 5 11, 308lbs, and I ve never had urinary problems, but I ve recently got diagnosed with a uti, I have taken Cipro and Keflex for the infection, and now it feels like something it stuck in my urethra and every time I urinate it feels like I have to push, like my body is making me do it. I also have a kidney stone and I don t know if that may be causing the problem with my urination.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

As you are having stone there is chance of urinary tract infection more and so you have UTI..

Suitable prescribed antibiotic complete course should be taken...

Your pelvic USG and x ray like investigation done to look for stone

If if is small less than 8mm than can be expelled by drinking more water

If stone present in lower urinary tract or in urethra or if urethral stenosis present than obstruction feeled
Hence if needed urethroscopy like investigation done for further work up

Take care

Consult urosurgeon for examination and further work up

Hope your concern solved
