Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. urge incontinence or overactive bladder occur due to pressure or sudden muscle contractions on the bladder causing some leakage of urine and remember it is not a disease but a symptom of lifestyle, medical or physical problem thus see an Urologist to find the exact cause of the problem which could either be due to disease of the nervous system [multiple sclerosis] or from bladder infection/inflammation or prostate enlargement

2. Although urge incontinence is merely an inconvenience but if it impedes your daily activity you should visit your health care physician to discuss treatment options, till then:
- limit food which irritate bladder like: avoid coffee, alcohol, spicy/acidic food and high carbohydrate diet and maintain ideal body weight
- kegel exercises to strenghten the pelvic floor muscles
- take fibre rich diet to avoid constipation

3. Do not return to original medicine [oxybutynin] without first consulting your doctor and you might have to seek an opinion of urologist if infection/ inflammation or bladder stone is the cause of your incontinence since infection can easily spread to kidneys and/or other areas of the body
