What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain And Knot In Pain Area?

About a week ago I started having pain in my upper abdominal area. It is a fairly small spot that the pain is concentrated on. Almost feels like a knot like you would get in your back, except I get a sharp almost tearing feeling when I laugh, or cough. Should I be worried?

Hi.
Yes, you should be worried.
This can be a small hernia as per history you have provided.
Get this checked by a Surgeon. You may need ultrasonography to confirm.
If this is a hernia, get operated. as this may cause complications if not treated.
