What Causes Ulcers At The Site Of Oral Sub Mucus Fibrosis?

My spouse aged 31 yrs (female) is diagnosed by the local physician here to have been suffering from oral submucus fibrosis and she had already undergone treatment under a MDS for last 3 or 4 months. The doctor injected in the affected areas with some substance perhaps steroid. At present she has developed some ulcers in the affected areas inside mouth. Recently, we have consulted an ENT specialist who has prescribed 2 medicines. (1) Lycostar suspension, (2) GBion tab. Is there any suggestion for us? I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain ulceration in the affected areas of oral submucous fibrosis is commonly due to thinning of mucosa in the areas leading to easy inflammation and ulceration.

The medications given to you are mineral, anti-oxidant and vitamin supplements and are helpful in maintaining the health of mucosa and it will help in healing the ulcers..

Along with these you can also apply numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine over the ulcers if there is pain..
You can also suck ice and do cool water rinses..
You should avoid spicy food and take a soft and bland diet..
Do warm saline gargles..
