What Causes Ulcerative Colitis Despite Being On Humira?

My son has ulcerative colitis and after a flare up in March and being in hospital for a month he has now been given Humira injections. He had 80g three weeks ago and 40g this week. His symptoms have worsened along with the urgency, the frequency and the joint pain. We had pinned high hopes on this medication. Surely if this is supposed to decrease the inflammation, he shouldn t get worse?
