What Causes Twitching On The Hands?

I ve had twitches in my hands for years but in the last few months, they ve gotten worse and spread to my arms. My hands jerk or my fingers release on their own when holding something. My legs also have started kicking out or jerking on their own. For the last 3 weeks I ve had a numb area on the back of my left thigh, very high up, with occasional stinging pain in the area.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The twitching symptom on the hands, and legs kicking out on their own are suggestive of a possible neurological disorder (Parkinson's or others depending on your age). If the symptoms persisted for years without improvement, to me, should see neurologist as soon as possible.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
