Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last few months I have been bothered with twitching on the right side of my face. It began just under the eye. Now it has extended to the cheek bone and the corner of my mouth. Sometimes it does so quite strongly. What could be causing this?
Nutritional deficiencies might be the cause. Get your calcium levels and electrolyte levels checked. If the levels are abnormal, then supplements might help.
Drink 10 -12 glasses of water a day. Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Try to avoid stress, by doing regular exercise and yoga.
However , I would advise you to visit your physician and rule out other causes of facial twitching.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
