What Causes Twinges In Lumpy Breasts?

Hi - I have been experiencing repeated twinges in my left breast, occasionally in my right. I noticed that it was more consistent over the past few weeks. I do a regular breast self-exam, but I have always had larger, lumpy breasts (32DD). I am a 38 yo female, Asian, 4 11 , 126 lbs.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The presentation explained by you could be due to a hormonal effect and so I would recommend a hormone level check. Along with this, getting a mammogram would also be wise. Do not worry about it much, and write to me using our premium service with details like medications, stress level, birth control, sexual status, medical history (e.g. polycystic ovaries, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac abnormalities, etc.).

Best wishes.
