What Causes Tremors In The Hands?

I am experiencing some inability to hold objects. At times, it seems as if my hand just lets go. I have also experienced slight tremors. This is more noticable to me if I am holding items for any length of time, (glass of water, book, mini IPad). I am 62, is this a natural part of the aging process or should I be concerned?
