What Causes Tremors In The Hands While On Neurontin?

My 97 year old mother has been in the hospital for 4 days. She has been on neurontin for nerve pain, but I m not sure for how long. It helps the pain, but has caused other problems, according to it s list of side effects. She sleeps deeply as if she hasn t slept in days. I noticed shaky movements in her hands and a staring kind of look in her eyes yesterday. She also lost a full days memory of family visiting her at the hospital yesterday. She may have been given more than recommended. Is there another medication you could recommend with less serious side effects?

In this case age is a major factor. In elderly person, dementia(loss of memory), shaky movement in hand (tremor) are common. And because she is taking medicines, those symptoms appear more prominently. Here, you haven't mentioned the dosage( how much she is taking). So I will advice you to visit a local doctor to check whether the dosage is age-appropriate or not.
