What Causes Traces Of Albumin In Urine During Pregnancy?

i am 36wks pregnant and have traces of albumin in my unrine. when i asked my gynae what is it is said not to worry but i am.because my daughter at 36wks pregnant i also had traces of it and at 38wks it was positive. she was stillborn. i am afraid the sam thing is going to happen in this pregnancy, could you please tell me what Albumin is?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion albumin is a protein.Presence of it in urine is called proteinuria.This is significant when it is associated high BP.High BP with proteinuria is called preeclampsia.In preeclampsia there might be growth retardation of fetus and if the BP is uncontrolled severe complications might occur.So if the BP is normal there is nothingto worry.And high protein diet daily is advisable to compensate the loss.
