Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been prescribed Levaquin for walking pneumonia. I took one pill yesterday and one today. I have since been experiencing toothache in the majority of my teeth. I ve never taken Levaquin before. Could this be a side effect as it s in a number of teeth.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of toothache after taking Levaquin for pneumonia which seems to be very common after taking Levaquin as it is most common adverse effect. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult a ENT specialist once and go for alternative course of medication. Chew on citrus substances. You should take a combination of Diclofenac and Ibuprofen to relieve pain. Maintain complete oral hygiene and avoid intake of any sticky substances.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
