What Causes Tooth Pain, Sore Throat And Sore Neck?

Ive had a sore throat for about 4 weeks. My lymph nodes on the right side of my neck are also sore. I have had some what seems to be more drainage than normal. I had a tooth ache for several weeks and my glands were swollen during that time but I had that tooth pulled about 4 weeks ago.. What could this be?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tooth pain, sore throat and sore neck which is due to infection of upper respiratory tract and it could be due to inflammation of tonsils. But the symptoms can also occur due to dental infection that can spread to upper respiratory track and further if not treated properly . You should avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. I would suggest you to take throat lozenges and do warm saline gargles and rinses . You should take warm water sip by sip. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication Levocetirizine. Visit ENT specialist as well as dentist and get it examined. You should get blood and throat swab test done and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
