Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of tooth pain in spite of taking Ponstan which seems to be due to inflammation and injury to gums as tooth has a nerve and blood vessels that enter into it through the tips of its roots and it could be possible there is presence of infection at root tips levels as well.

I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. Maintain complete hygiene and avoid sticky substances. Visit oral physician once and get it examined completely and go for oral prophylaxis as well. Go for complete scaling and root cleaning if required. If it is concerned with single tooth go for treatment accordingly. Use antiseptic mouthwash on daily basis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
