Hi Dear , As per your query your daughter has bleeding tonsils and strep test came negative . There can be many reasons for sore throat like bacterial or viral . But in your case it seems to me that the infection is due to virus . Although viral infection go away by its own in few days but bleeding tonsils showing that the severity of infection is more . I would suggest to consult ENT specialist without delay as it can do more harm to tonsils for proper examination . Doctor may order test like viral culture test and swab test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe anti viral drug like acyclovir and sucralfate for healing of tonsils .
