What Causes Tongue Blisters And Biting My Tongue Between My Lower Front Teeth?

Hi, I am 61 years old and for about 3 years, I have been rubbering my tongue between my lower front teeth. From time to time the tongue gets a blister. I have tried all sorts of things to stop this. I have chewed gum to keep my mind off the tongue, I have put Bonjela gel on the tongue etc. it gets worse when I get stressed, like travelling in a car. When I am doing gardening or any activity it does not happen. I am getting desperate and thinking I should go to an hypnotist. Will this work or are there any other treatments to get me to stop? Jan

Read your query as you have tongue blisters and tongue bitting between lower front teeth this can be due to hyperactivity of tongue or macroglosia of tongue for this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon or orthodontist for clinical examination and if needed go for removable appliance to prevent habit of tongue thrusting .
