Hello,

I can understand your concern. However, every woman feels menstruation differently. Some women may not feel it at all while others may feel debilitated during menstrual bleeding days.

In addition, menstruation may take its toll on your body and may make you feel tired and drowsy. You can combat this feeling by having energy-rich diet during days of menstruation like nuts, cheese, fruits etc. You can also start exercises. Exercises release endorphins in the body which instigate energy and make you feel refreshed and active. Headaches during menstruation are also related to hormonal changes and not to be worried about.

You can take Acetaminophen 500 mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg to feel relief in pain and headache. These medicines are available over the counter. Hot compresses over lower abdomen can help too in relieving pain.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
