What Causes Tiredness And Loss Of Appetite In Children?
My granddaughter is 8 years old and has not been feeling well for the past week. She was recently tested twice for strep throat and the results were negative. She has been congested which was thought to be viral and also may have allergies. However, I am getting concerned because after a week of rest and over the counter treatment she is not herself. The congestion has improved but she has been complaining of being tired and has not regained her appetite. I am going to make an appointment for her to see the pediatrician and ask for blood work to be completed because I am concerned about mononucleosis. Does this sound appropriate?
