What Causes Tiny White Blisters On The Lips?

Good day Dr, I met a guy this past weekend. We had an amazing time together and we spend the entire weekend together. We kissed an awfull lot. I also gave him a blowjob or two during the weekend and so did he.

The weekend went by, Sunday my glands started to swell and my head felt bigger than a soccer ball, I had a very high tempreture and felt very Ill that sunday evening. Monday came i felt a little bit better and tuesday as well. Im almost healed but not fully feeling 100%

On tuesday at about 11am in the morning I went to the mirror and I saw a white spot appearing on my upper lip, it got very bad in a matter of hours and as I went home i bought fever blister ointment to apply on the soars.

I woke up this morning and my entire bottom lip is covered in tiny little blisters and then i have 2 blisters on my top lip.

What on earth could this be? As I have had cold soars in the past but never this bad? Is there an logic explanation for this severe breakout this time around.

Please can i get your expert advice, and how one can treat it.

Thank you so much
Regards
EBEN

Hi..
Welcome to HCM..

As per your complain, it is true that the tiny blisters over the lips which was preceeded by fever and swollen glands seems to be due to viral infection only and the most common cause for it seems to be due to Herpes Virus Infection causing cold sores..
It can occur as early as after 2 days of being exposed to the virus..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Infectious Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like viral culture, antigen antibody reaction, polymerase chain reaction etc can be done for diagnosis and treated accordingly..

In case if herpes is diagnosed then a course of anti viral medications oral as well as topical like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir, Famicyclovir etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
Along with it avoiding intimate contact with other individuals and keeping personal belongings like glasses, towels etc separate as it is contagious and can spread to other individuals too..

Hope this helps..

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tiny white blisters on the lips. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Cold sores caused by Herpes Simplex Virus. They are mostly sexually transmitted but it can also be caused by exposure to infected things like utensils and towels etc used by an infected person. It can also be mild allergic reaction to some medicine or food product I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist for proper examination and rule out other causes . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . For now do not spit , apply cold compresses on blister , take over the counter antihistamine like benadryland also apply broad spectrum lip balm . For now maintain proper oral hygiene and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
