What Causes Tinnitus In Ear?

I ve been experiencing high frequency tinnitus for 19 days now. I went to my Physician who diagnosed me with an ear infection and gave me antibiotics for 10 days. I ve been off antibiotics since Monday and the ringing still persists. I have hearing loss in my left ear and wear an in the ear hearing aid. I ve always had mild tinnitus but the increase has been affecting me. I went back to my Physician who said she sees fluid in my ear and referred me to an ENT specialist. I am very anxious about this ringing. Will it ever go away?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, there are many condition that are caused the tinnitus, among them certain are very common like exposure to loud sound, viral infection, wax impaction, neurological disease, hypertension, stress, and others, in my opinion better to see the ENT there you have to go through some test, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
