What causes tinnitus, flue like symptoms and severe dizziness?

Hi. I have a general feeling of fuzziness in my brain, accompanied by some light swooshing noises in my head when I move it. I had flu like symptoms since last week, developed severe dizziness yesterday, so visited my GP. Based on a slight amount of fluid behind my right ear and my history of allergies, He prescribed Claritin, Pepcid AC, nasal spray, and gave me a sot of cortisone. The dizziness isn t as bad as it was, but now this other symptom arose. I have also had an extremely bad cough for a week now, so he prescribed robitussin with codeine. I only take it at night so I can sleep. My big worry is the brain fuzziness. Any suggestions?

This "brain fuzziness" is caused by the fluid in the ear. Our ears not only function for hearing. They also function for balance. And if there is dysequilibrium in the fluids in the ear, it causes impaired balance, thus causing tinnitus, or what you call "brain fuzziness". With this, it is better to see an ENT specialist to check your ears.

I got very dizzy, the room was spinning at a rapid pace. Then I got a big bang in the ear which lasted about three minutes. The visual I had while experience this symptom was that of a long black coiled sound between my ears. Do you know what this may be? The loud sound was like big machinery and the coil seemed to be turning.

doctor1 MD husband has been experiencing chronic dizziness, weight loss, sinus pressure, ringing in the ears, and severe insomnia for the last 4 months. He has seen ENTs, Neurologists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, had MRIs, CTs, blood panels, and gone to PT but no one is able to diagnose him. He is disabled by this and doesn t really know what else to do. All the doctor s tell him there is nothing wrong with him and that he just has anxiety but that is not the case. He is physically in a lot of pain and is suffering tremendously. His sister has 3 autoimmune diseases and has several of the same symptoms but his blood work is not showing any signs of autoimmune. Any ideas what could be causing this? It came on suddenly back in January.
