What Causes Tinnitus And Anxiety Attacks Post Dexamethasone Injection?

Hi. I received a shot of dexamethasone in my ankle a month ago. The day I received it my ears started ringing, high anxiety, panic attacks (that I am prone to but havent had one in 2 years) and a persistant headache/neck ache from hell since day 2 which still continues. How long can I expect these side effects to last? I must be very sensitive to this drug. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

These undesired side effects should only last for a few days and not this long. I would recommend a visit to the prescribing doctor to get yourself evaluated as there must be some other underlying cause for the same, because I believe the side effects cannot last this long.

Best wishes.
