Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have tingling under my eyes and along the side of my face along the hairline. My doctor said it might be post herpetitic neuralgia but I have never had shingles. It comes and it goes. What else might it be? Should I see a neurologist? Would allergies be a possible cause? Thank you. Jean

What Causes Tingling Sensation Under The Eyes?
Hello, Yes, it is possible that tingling sensation may be due to pruritis or photosensitivity or angioedema or postherpetic neuralgia or trigeminal neuralgia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid skin irritants and make-up creams. Use tablet Pregabalin once daily for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
